The research carried out within UMRAE is in line with the context of noise in the environment, integrating at the same time:
- outdoor environment (urban and peri-urban areas, long-distance propagation in open field);
- indoor environment (noise in buildings).
Indeed, in urban areas in particular, outdoor noise is the major source of pollution for the population, and residents living in their homes are primarily concerned.
